The courts at Willoughby Squash Club were alive with energy on Sunday, February 2nd, as we kicked off our first junior event of the year—the East Coast Squash Academy Bronze Junior Tournament 2025 No.1. With four competitive divisions, the tournament showcased incredible talent, determination, and sportsmanship from our junior players.
Rising Stars Shine on the Court
Academy Senior Coach Mike Dickens was impressed by the level of competition, particularly in the lower divisions, where young players displayed remarkable skill and potential. "It is great to see in the lower divisions some excellent talent coming through, and certainly some future stars will develop into the NSW State team for sure," he said. As the NSW Head Coach of the Junior Performance Pathway, he also highlighted the importance of introducing more players to squash at a young age and providing them with opportunities to compete regularly.
