On October 27th, East Coast Squash Academy had the privilege of hosting its very first School Championships at Willoughby Squash Club. This event marked a significant milestone in our mission to develop young squash talent across the region, offering students a competitive platform to showcase their skills and embrace the spirit of the game.
The championships featured students from three of our partner schools: St. Andrews Cathedral School, Fort St. High School, and Lindfield Learning Village. These schools benefit from East Coast Squash Academy’s in-school squash program, which is delivered by our dedicated team of experienced coaches. The program not only focuses on building fundamental squash skills but also emphasises the importance of competition and the sportsmanship that comes with it. Tournament play is an essential part of our pathway, helping students to refine their techniques and gain valuable experience in a competitive setting.

The event was filled with thrilling matches, showcasing impressive rallies and remarkable progress from all the players involved. It was clear from the intensity of the matches that the students have been putting in the hard work, and the improvement in their skill levels was on full display. The energy in the club was palpable, with everyone rooting for their peers as they battled it out on court.

We’ll be hosting more School Championships and Inter-School Competitions throughout 2025, giving students even more opportunities to develop their skills, compete, and be part of the growing squash community.
