THE EAST COAST SQUASH ACADEMY
Presents
Play-To-Win Feedback Sessions

Whether you’re a beginner, intermediate or advanced player, the Play to Win Feedback Sessions have been designed to elevate your skills to the next level so you continue to enjoy the game by taking on bigger challenges.

The theme-based strategy coaching sessions have been designed as round-robin sessions where you will be playing other players of the same, lower or higher level of skill. Playing other players "to win" puts a different spin on what you need to do, in contrast to lessons and routines.

Often, under the pressure of competition, certain aspects of your game will break down, which is what we want to identify so we can work on them during the other coaching sessions.

During competitive play, your strengths and weaknesses will reveal themselves, which is important to work with to further accelerate your development pathway to improvement.

Feedback will be provided while you're playing, after your matches and examples illustrated during other matches you will be watching. The active commentary will give you a whole new light on how to Play-To-Win.

Each week will focus on a different theme of game strategy, so you have a clear focus of what you are trying to do, improve or learn to do for the first time.

Beginners and intermediates will gain the skills needed to take on more experienced players, while advanced players will gain the confidence and skills required to challenge elite level opponents.

Benefits of the feedback sessions include:

Learn To Play & Beginner
  • Learning the basic strategies of squash
  • Learning to choose the best shot selections
  • Establishing and refining a game plan
Intermediate & Advanced
  • Understanding the difference between playing to win vs playing to practice
  • Learning the 6 different playing styles of squash
  • Understanding your playing style and taking advantage of your strengths
  • Learning and developing your strengths and weaknesses under the 4 components of squash
  • Identifying opponents’ strengths and weaknesses as fast as possible
  • Learning how to capitalize on patterns of momentum
  • Learning how to apply and break patterns
  • Learning how to measure your strategy performance
  • Learning how to use video analysis to improve your game

Each session has been deliberately kept to 1.5 hours, allowing enough time for coaching as well as practicing what you learn.

With a limit of 8 players at any given time and two courts, you will receive the individual attention required to correct your stroke play as well as observe others and learn from their mistakes.

Plus, with our special bundle discounts, you can acquire these essential skills for an extremely affordable price.

Play-To-Win Feedback Sessions are Available
for Players of all Skill Levels:

Learn To Play (LTP) - (0-349 Sporty HQ)
This class is for ALL LTP/introductory squash players, regardless of fitness level, age, or gender. No previous experience is required!! We welcome all novice players with a Sporty HQ of 0-349 (don't worry if you don't have a SportyHQ! If you do not know your SportyHQ, contact us with your squash experience and we will help you out).

BEGINNER - (350-549 SportyHQ)
The perfect class for experienced racquet sport competitors or beginner squash players that have a 350-549 SportyHQ. No previous experience required! If you don't have a SportyHQ or you do not know what a SportyHQ is contact us with your squash/racquet sport experience, and we will help you out.

INTERMEDIATE - (550-829 SportyHQ)
In this class we will focus on a specific goal to help you master the game, equipping you with specialised strategies and incorporating scientific principles that guarantee results. We will work with a themed base approach, creating awareness of the 6 styles of squash, helping you develop your awareness to understand and embrace your strengths whilst learning to understand strengths and weaknesses in your opponents.  We will assist your growth on the 4 key fundamentals of squash.

ADVANCED - (830+ SportyHQ)
If you’ve hit a plateau and you feel stuck, it’s time to change your approach. You need guided coaching to get you out of your slump – your point of diminishing returns or no returns!

As an advanced player, you might like to gain more consistency in your game, become more efficient on the court, or lift your intensity a bit higher for comp or pennant. Well, that won’t happen in isolation without guided coaching. We will help you improve on-court coping skills, emotional mastery and mental toughness so you stop losing important matches and make winning easy once again.

If you are unsure of your squash level or which class to sign up to, please refer to our Squash Skill Self Assessment table to determine where you’ll best fit into our programs.
