Tournament Information - Regulations
Boys + Girls under 19 / 17 / 15 / 13 & 11 Championships (Players may only enter one event).  

All categories will be run on a MONRAD DRAW basis with each player being guaranteed at least 3 matches - we will be playing out all monrad draws fully wherever possible.  ALL players are required to play ALL scheduled matches.  If you are unable / unwilling to comply with this regulation you should NOT enter the tournament.  All matches will be played as best of 5 games. 

All matches will be played PAR (point a rally) to 11. Should the score reach 10 all a player needs to win by 2 clear points.

ELIGIBILITY
Any player shall be entitled to enter providing: 
A).
   That he / she is under the appropriate age on 6th April 2015 (last day of tournament).                                                          
B).
   Australian Competitors are current player members of State & Territory Squash Associations for 2014/2015. 
C).
   Their entry is endorsed and forwarded by their National Governing Body.

ENTRY
All players will be guaranteed at least three matches.  The size of the draw may be restricted. Any player not selected will be placed on a reserve list, unless otherwise stated on the entry form.   In the event of a seeded player withdrawing from the event prior to 12noon on the day immediately before the first match of the event is scheduled for play, the Tournament Administrators in consultation with National Selectors, will fill the vacancy by moving the players in accordance with the method originally used to establish the draw - i.e. redraw.  The right is reserved to reschedule matches at any time.

ENTRIES
All players MUST enter through Squash Australia: Completed entry forms should be emailed to [email protected]

Sports Development Division, Squash Australia, Office 9 Sports House, 150 Caxton Street, Milton, Queensland. 4210.

Entries and payments must be received by 17:00 hrs. on Friday 27 February 2015.

Telephone entries will NOT be accepted.  Squash Australia cannot be held responsible for entries lost in the post or sent by fax.  If you require an acknowledgement of entry please contact Squash Australia.  We will attempt to email confirmation to those with email addresses.  The entry fee / package MUST be paid at the time of entry via transfer into the following Squash Australia account:

Please note that the payee must pay all bank charges.

Payment can also be made via cheques which should be made payable to “Squash Australia” and must be drawn on an Australian clearing bank and should be in Australian (AUD) currency.

All players MUST enter through their National Governing Body 

PLAYER PACKAGE

Entry fee without package is $65 (The Fee does not include international bank fees).

The entry/package fee must be paid by bank transfer (net of bank charges) by 27 February 2015.

Important:            Transport is not provided.

In line with Squash Australia policy fee reimbursement will be on the following basis:


·        Withdrawal up to 28 days prior to the start of the event – full refund (less bank charges).

·        Withdrawal 7- 28 days prior to the start of the event – 50% refund (less bank charges).

·        Withdrawal 6 or less days prior to the start of the event – no refund.

All player package payments must be paid to the Squash Australia in one transaction 

SEEDING
Squash Australia will complete seedings with the assistance of Squash Australia National Selectors.


SCHEDULE OF PLAY 
Seedings and playing time of the first matches will be provided after the closing date. The draw will be displayed on www.squash.org.au in accordance with Squash Australia’s Tournament & National Junior Squash Policy Regulations.

CODE OF CONDUCT 
All competitors denote their agreement to abide by the Squash Australia Code of Conduct and Regulations/Guidelines by entering the tournament.  Parents must refrain from interference in matches.  Any complaints should be addressed formally to the tournament desk.

ANTI DOPING
By entering the Tournament you agree to abide by the Rules and Regulations governing the Championship and declare that you are aware of the Anti-Doping regulations and procedures as set out by Squash Australia and in Section E and Appendix G of the WSF World Championship Regulations.  You accept that you may be dope tested under these regulations at any stage of the Championship and will be subject to the penalties set out in the World Championship Regulations if the test(s) prove positive.  This declaration also covers participation in Plate events as applicable to this Championship.

CLOTHING           
Players must wear clothing suitable for squash.  All players must wear approved eyewear. 


TOURNAMENT BALL
The official Squash Australia ball, the Dunlop Pro will be used for this tournament.


PLAYER WITHDRAWAL
Withdrawal from the tournament must be notified to Squash Australia as soon as possible by telephone or fax with a valid reason. The reason for withdrawal should then be confirmed in writing to Squash Australia within 7 days and in the event of illness or injury, should be accompanied by a letter of explanation from a parent or coach or a medical certificate.

Non-arrivals who do not notify Squash Australia will NOT be allowed to enter the 2014 Australian Junior Open.

REFEREES
All players must be prepared to assist with the marking and / or refereeing of matches if required.


TROPHIES
The (Under 19) trophy for boys/girls is held permanently in the Squash Australia Office.


Finalist, Runner-Up and Third placing will receive a trophy.

EYE PROTECTION
It is a mandatory requirement of the Tournament that all players wear eye protectors that have met one of the National Safety Standards for Squash, available from the following Countries:


GB - BS7930:1                                                                                     USA - ASTM F803                                                                        
Canada - CSA P400                                                                           Aust/NZ - A/NZ 4066


These eye protectors must be worn properly over the eyes at all times when on court. It is the responsibility of the player to ensure that their eye protector complies with the Regulation. Failure to do so will result in disqualification.

The eye protectors that have met one or more of the above National Safety Standards are listed on the WSF website www.worldsquash.org 

GENERAL
Results will be updated regularly on 
www.squash.org.au 

FINALLY 
The event complies with the WSF Junior Circuit Guidelines, a copy of which is available on 
www.worldsquash.org - all relevant people should make sure (including coaches, managers and players) are aware of the guidelines and their requirements.

The decision of the Tournament Organizing Group will be final in all matters.

Squash Australia reserves the right to alter the above regulations at any time.
