Get SAFELY back on court with  classes led by – a robot!

Ball feeding machines also called canons have been around for decades in both tennis and table tennis (ping pong). Only recently have they made their way to squash and not without a lot of consistency problems and dependability issues.

We’ve sourced and brought the best robot to the Academy prior to the Coronavirus lockdown with the tongue-in-cheek name – “Ro-Butt” classes, to highlight how much fun you can have burning calories while learning to play squash!
What’s special about Ro-Butt classes
Picture
Totally safe with Covid-19 social distancing measures. These classes are staged with only the robot, a coach and you ALONE on court.
Picture
The sessions are only 20 minutes to get you back in shape after the lockdown. Trust that you’ll be buggered after 20 minutes of constant feeding, hitting every single ball!
Picture
You will hit a ball every 10 seconds – Balls are fed almost non-stop, so with the consistency of timing, it helps you get your placement right and racket ready more easily.
Picture
Consistent feeding – Because you know where the ball is coming from every time, with little to no variability, it’s easier to focus on your technique.
Picture
Burn more calories – You’ll get to hit about three times more balls, in 1/3rd  the time as a regular small group class!
Picture
Balls are constantly recycled – The uninterrupted feeding of balls means non-stop activity on the court, which is really fun and engaging.
Picture
Balls are fed based on your level – The coach will set the robot to match your level and ability to maximise enjoyment and development.
Picture
Develop skills faster – With the constant and consistent repetition of the same shot, you will develop your squash skills a lot faster.
Picture
Get a full hour workout and coaching in 1/3rd the time – We guesstimate that with a robot, because of increased focus and attention, you can get the equivalent of 1 hour of skill development in 20 minutes…! Don't worry, we  an STOP the robot at any time to give you a chance to catch your breath!

Ro-Butt classes are Covid-19 safe!

Picture
With social distancing restrictions – small group classes and open court play are not going to be possible for a while.

These Ro-Butt classes are to get you squash fit after being less active during the Covid-19 crisis.

Classes will be limited due to social distancing restrictions – Ro-butt classes have been scheduled to optimise courts and convenience, but they limited and available on a first-in, best-dressed basis.

Prior to the lockdown, We ran several small group classes with "Frank-ee" the robot and received super-positive player feedback. Learn To Play participants feel like they can get the hang of hitting balls more easily while beginners with a bit of playing experience like the increased intensity to hit a lot more balls in less time.

Click here to pre-pay the FIRST series of classes which will be launched as soon as the next stage of the lockdown restrictions are lifted.
