What People Are Saying…

Picture
“I have been working hard with Aaron for a few weeks. From the outset, we discussed goals, strengths and weaknesses and what I wanted to achieve and then he started implementing that straight away. He works me hard... but over this time I’ve become more aggressive on the court and attacking early. We discuss each match, what worked and what didn’t, so that I can keep moving forward towards my goals. Great to have a coach that WANTS to help you achieve your goals!”

“From the moment, you first step onto the court with Aaron, it is clear that he has a deep understanding and passion for the game of squash. Aaron’s drive and attention to detail comes through in everything he does, and this is evident in his lessons as he passes on the knowledge that he gathered during his years on the PSA tour. I have had many coaching sessions with Aaron over the past several years, and although he often pushed me beyond my limits, I found them to be an invaluable tool in not only improving my squash technique and fitness, but also in learning valuable lessons about strategy and mental toughness, which are as applicable on the squash court as they are in general life.

I would not hesitate to recommend Aaron as a squash coach to anybody wishing to take their game to the next level.”

"I’ve always loved playing squash, but after having lessons with Aaron it’s not only improved my game but made me appreciate the sport on a whole new level. I’m now thinking a lot more on and off the court, and getting a lot more out of my practice hits. Aaron’s coaching has gotten me to focus on game-play, strategy and mental toughness while also developing my racket-skills and fitness. After having little change to my matrix in the past few years, the coaching sessions with Aaron have seen a significant shift upwards and I’m driven to still push the bar higher. I would absolutely recommend Aaron for anyone looking to take their game to another level, while also learning more about the game, and how the top players do what they do so well."

"Aaron has a great energy and enthusiasm which really helped motivate me to push myself harder. He has the ability to analyse technique problems quickly and explains how to make corrections in a way that is easy to understand. My squash has improved greatly with Aaron's coaching."

“I didn't know what to expect from a former Pro player as a coach. Well, I can say I was positively surprised after I met Aaron. Attention to details is the key. This is absolutely the best aspect of Aaron's coaching. From mental training (pushing you to find the answers on your own) to drills, feet positions, racquet holding, ghosting, home exercises to train muscle memory, and so on. Tailored training is provided based on what you want to achieve and if you are willing to commit, you will see results, guaranteed.”

“Having been coached by Aaron for several years I can honestly say my game has come a long way.  As a social player that had played for many years before having a lesson we had to go through a process of unlearning before we could lay a foundation of basics that has been the platform for more advanced technic and strategy. Some of the issues we have worked through are footwork, mental strength, game analysis, swing, serve, shot variation and attack/defensive game play. It doesn’t matter whether you take your squash seriously or casually if you want to be trained by the best I recommend you give Aaron a call.”

"I have been training intensively with Aaron...he is an excellent coach and very dedicated to his trainees. He helped me to improve my games in many aspects: mental focus and right mindset, strategy and technical skills. His approach of coaching is very specific and relies on his experience on the professional tour. He can impressively diagnose your weaknesses and provide a structured training plan to leverage your strengths. I definitely recommend Aaron if you are a hard worker and have high expectations about your game.”

“I began working with Aaron...at the age of 17. I had success early on after we made some technical changes and improved my decision-making, which in turn, enabled my matrix to jump 32.8 points that first pennant season working together. Over the years, I have developed a very sound technique and a deep understanding of the game. As a coach, Aaron not only focuses on teaching the technical aspects, but he develops strong relationships with his players. As an accomplished player himself, Aaron understood how critical a solid player/coach relationship is to creating success in sport. This player/coach relationship played a crucial role in my personal success; it enabled me to reach #2 in NSW, top 10 nationally in juniors, and top 15 nationally in seniors. I believe he has taught me how to have great character and be a great person. These qualities have opened many doors to new opportunities and have led me to success in other areas of life. I firmly believe that Aaron’s dedication towards developing great people, not only great players, will lead him to have success in any avenue he pursues."

“Because Aaron Frankcomb is a very smart guy, I should not have been surprised by the subtlety of his coaching, which has become clearer with the benefit of hindsight. In contrast to the unimaginative drills that are the norm, each session with Aaron is precisely tailored to the student.  Aaron remembers and applies the details and outcomes of the previous session, which means that there is a feeling of progress and development. Once again, with the benefit of hindsight, I can see that Aaron waits until a particular skill or understanding had been bedded down before he seeks to integrate it with a higher level skill or insight. One of Aaron’s major strengths is his application of sports psychology to himself and his students. It is a privilege to share the insights of a champion in any field, even if, regrettably, I remain unable to achieve the relentless self-discipline and abandonment of excuses that those insights require.

There is a problem; being coached by Aaron spoils you for other coaches.”

“Aaron Frankcomb has coached my three children for the last several years, and in that time he has transformed them all from complete beginners into rising juniors who understand and have a passion for the game. Aaron is a wonderful motivator for players at all skill levels and all ages. He understands the game in all its complexity, has a great eye for form and mechanics, and knows how to guide players on their personal learning journeys. I cannot recommend Aaron highly enough, whether you are looking for a coach for a beginner child, for a junior with ambitions to be nationally or internationally ranked, for a PSA-level performer, or simply for a middle-aged adult looking to enjoy the game more and fix up some weaknesses that have been nagging for years. Aaron can do it all, and he does it with an energy and determination that few other coaches bring to the game.”

“I’ve been extremely fortunate to learn the game of squash under Aaron’s coaching since I began playing in 2011. I was taught good habits, technique and strategy, which has given me a solid foundation as I’ve put in the time to become a formidable squash player. Aaron has also taught me the importance of the mental aspect of sport, which helped me improve significantly and applies to life outside of squash. I’ve always been impressed by Aaron’s energy, commitment and passion as a coach. He is truly consistent and sincere in his effort to pass on the game he loves. I am very confident that I can continue to improve as a competitor and squash player through Aaron’s guidance.”

"Having never played squash before, I was worried about how I would pick up the game and improve enough to stay interested!

Aaron's coaching from day one has been the perfect mixture of supporting and challenging me, and I've been really happy to see steady improvement.

Aaron's deep understanding of squash shines through every minute you spend learning from him, and it's this wealth of knowledge that ensures he always has the very best tactics, tips, and advice to offer you, no matter the scenario you throw his way.

I would highly recommend Aaron to anyone looking to either start playing squash or improve their skills in this great sport. I'e spoken to a number of his other students who have been playing a long and still swear by his coaching and how it has improved/continues to improve their game.

I look forward to continuing my lessons with Aaron for years to come."
