JUNIOR DEVELOPMENT TEAM

The Junior Development program is designed for children who are looking to pursue squash and play up to 6 times a week. This program is great for junior players who are looking to represent their regional area and/or state team.

ELITE DEVELOPMENT TEAM
Picture
Elite Development players are expected to be committed to squash and look to be playing professionally or for the U.S. College System. Our Elite Development players train 9 times a week looking to pursue their dreams of being national champions.

HIGH PERFORMANCE TEAM
Picture
High Performance players are committed to squash as a full time position. These players train 12 times a week and are looking to pursue their dreams of being the next World Champion on the Professional Squash Association (PSA) Tour.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Shown an increased interest in pursuing squash at a higher level
  • Played in state ranking or national ranking events
  • Top 4 in state rankings
  • Played squash for a minimum of 3 years
  • Minimum 14 years old
  • Anticipating to play squash full time
  • Been top 4 in Australia in your age group
  • Signed up to the PSA tour
EXPECTATIONS

  • Must attend ALL training sessions - both squash and strength & conditioning
  • Complete all "homework" sessions, solos, and warm-up/cool-downs
  • Compete in NSW State ranking events
  • Help coach Junior Start-Up Clinics
  • Show consistent motivation
  • Apply training methods from coaches
  • Good attitude on and off court
  • Have a hard working ethic
  • Be a good sport- both on and off the court
  • Support and encourage other members in the East Coast Squash Academy Team
  • Act as a role model for Junior Start-Up Members
  • Always prepared with correct gear and equipment
  • Present themselves in appropriate manner every session, including presentation of attire and behaviour

Prices vary based on level of athlete. After application is received, payments and fees will be communicated based on dedication/time of the athlete as well as possibilities for sponsorships. 

SOME RESULTS OF THE
ACADEMY'S CURRENT & FORMER PLAYERS
Darcy Evans, is currently #7 and #10 in NSW and Australian National Men's Rankings respectively. As a junior, Evans was #2 in Australia in 2013 and Ranked #1 for NSW and Tasmania. He was the winner of the MC Hazel Award in 2013. Evans is also a certified Personal Trainer and Assistant Coach.
