The Academy classes help you develop a passion for squash, no matter what your level. Improve your skills to become a better player and take on more experienced opponents.

SMALL GROUP CLASSES
Discover how Small Group Classes with qualified coaches fast‑track complete beginners and unlock plateaus for intermediate players, all with the personalised attention you’ve been missing.

You love being on court.
You’re competitive enough to care about improving.
You’re doing your best to get better.

Yet your squash game feels like it’s stuck in quicksand.

Maybe you are starting out and every rally feels chaotic.
Maybe you have been playing a year or two, but your progress has “flat‑lined” and you keep losing to the same people you should be beating by now.

If that sounds familiar, you’re not alone.

Most players at local clubs are in exactly this spot. Some are complete beginners who have only played a handful of times.

Others have been playing for a year or two, trying hard, watching YouTube videos, and still feel like their game just isn’t really “clicking.”

That’s not a sign you’re uncoordinated or lack talent.

It simply means no one has ever given you a clear, structured way to improve that matches your level, age and expectations.

Why most players stay stuck
On your own, it’s almost impossible to see what you are doing wrong.

You can feel that something is off, but you can’t see your own movement, your position, your swing, or your shot selections.

So you revert to guessing.

You try to copy what others are doing, hoping it’ll work for you.

You try random tips from friends or clips you found online.

Sometimes it helps, a little.

Most of the time, it just creates more confusion and frustration.

The Benefits of Small Group Classes
With never more than six players in each session, your coach sees every shot you hit and every movement you make, then gives you bite‑sized corrections you can apply immediately on the next shot.

As a beginner, that means:
  • You avoid painful bad habits before they ever take root
  • You feel safe, supported, and encouraged
  • You’ll be shown how to do things properly so you’re crystal clear on what you should be trying to do

As an intermediate who has been playing a year or two, it means:
  • You finally get specific corrections that match your level
  • You learn real tactics, shot selection, and positioning to be smarter on court
  • You’ll get past the frustration of making unforced errors by knowing how to avoid (most of) them!

Real coaching, for real players
We have coached so many players that we recognise the patterns everyone goes through on their journey.

We know that when you start training in a group, with immediate feedback to guide you, your in confidence grows, your movement improves and you start to see results almost instantly.

Recently, a beginner had only been on court a few times and was worried about getting in the way.

In her first class, her big breakthrough was learning to move safely and get the ball to the front wall consistently.

After about half a dozen Small Group Classes, she joined a Coached Round Robin session and was rallying confidently.

Another player had been playing social squash for almost two years.

He felt stuck losing to the same people over and over again even though he thought he could win some of those matches.

After a month of structured Small Group Classes, focusing on shot execution and positioning, he started turning close games he previously lost into narrow wins.

For the first time, he felt he was finally getting better.

Your Coaches

Every Small Group Class is led by a certified coach who will break complex skills into simple steps you can understand and execute.

He/she will give you clear, specific directions for each drill or routine while explaining the “why” behind every correction.

You’ll come away from every class knowing what you are trying to do, why you’re doing it, and why it works.

You’ll never be left guessing or feeling silly.

You’ll always be treated with respect and dignity even though sometimes you’ll crack yourself up and make others laugh.

Everyone’s in the class to improve having fun and laughing about it keeps it light and enjoyable.

You’ll always be in the right class for your level

Classes are grouped by playing level, so you are never thrown in with players miles ahead of you or held back by drills that are too basic.

If you’re a beginner, your coach meets you where you are, keeps the instructions simple, and makes sure you feel comfortable on court without feeling pressured or stressed out.

If you are an intermediate player with a year or two under your belt, your coach will help you progress from “just hitting the ball” into a real game plan, with patterns of play you can rely on under pressure.

Since you train with people at a similar level of proficiency, everyone is stretched just enough to improve and no one feels out of place.
Ready to take your next step up?

Small Group Classes are the tailored spot for players who want coaching that is personal, structured, and still affordable.

You will never feel lost in the crowd or left behind, and every week you will know exactly what to work on next.
