Ever wonder how some people improve their results ‘almost overnight’ while others struggle for years or even
decades with little or no improvement?

The ‘secret’ is Deliberate Practice Principles
You can spend countless hours “trying stuff,” but unless you have a proven system that works, you could in fact be reinforcing a bad habit that makes things worse, hard to change and in some cases impossible to get rid of.

Deliberate Practice is a methodology used by the best in the world including Olympians, World Champions and Commonwealth Games athletes. Now you can tap into this powerful approach to create a breakthrough, the ‘quantum leap’ forward you need to get to your next performance level.

The power of Deliberate Practice Principles is that they apply to all human endeavours, not just sport. It’s a framework, a process that is scientifically designed to make the most of every single minute you invest in developing a new skill or ability to create the biggest breakthrough(s) in the least amount of time.

The term “Deliberate Practice” was coined by Anders Ericsson as the guiding principles required to creating expert performance (outcomes) synonymous with musical protégés, so-called “natural” sports champions and other outstanding feats of human skill and ability.

Deliberate Practice is important because it is the fastest way for anyone – including teams to develop a higher level of proficiency (expert performance). The framework is imperative, without it, it’s a haphazard hit-or-miss approach that the herd contents itself to follow, but champions abhor with every cell in their bodies.

Over the years, science has revealed the guiding principles well beyond the 10,000 hour rule made infamous by Malcolm Gladwell which is unfortunately wrong and misleading.

Historically, these principles have been exclusive to Olympians, Commonwealth Games Athletes, World Champions and other elite organisations like the Australian Institute Of Sport (AIS).
Deliberate Practice Principles For Peak Performance
There are 3 components to this exclusive program

*Please note: You don’t have to worry about physical exertion – we will be only be using ‘How to play squash” as a metaphor for the Deliberate Practice Principle. No matter what your level of ability or proficiency is, we have a methodology to cover all contingencies.

The goal is to have FUN together as a group and enjoy the process of learning valuable distinctions while applying them.
Even though Deliberate Practice Principles have their origins in peak performance sports psychology, they have been explored and chronicled in all areas of human endeavor and achievement including music, languages, and even air travel safety (National Transportation Safety Board - NTSB).

Admittedly, creating champions is not easy, in large part because of the relentless debate about nature versus nurture and the influence of genetics and inheritance of ‘so-called’ talent.

The jury is in and there is no such thing as talent, once you take genetics out of the equation. Mathematically, genetics (height, proportions, physical and intellectual abilities, etc.) only account for 35% or 1/3rd of results. That leaves more than 2/3rd for hard work, discipline, perseverance, grit, tenacity, desire and determination.

We have all heard we should “work smart, not hard” – but what does that actually mean?

Simply put – it means using Deliberate Practice Principles.

At this special event, we will use squash as the metaphor and as the practical example. We are going to go on court and teach you to play squash. We will accelerate your learning curve using Deliberate Practice Principles.

We will do this strategically, tactically and systematically.

We will explain and highlight the parallels with your personal and professional development as you reach for higher Performance Plateaus and identify those obstacles that are holding you back (Reverse Salients). Everything will come full circle for you so you can apply it in sport, in your personal life, in your professional development and career.

Deliberate Practice Principles are how you can manufacture breakthroughs faster and easier. The 1 Percent Improvement Doctrine is at the core of this scientifically proven methodology, but every once in a while, a quantum leap forward can be made when Deliberate Practice Principles are in play. Deliberate Practice Principles increase the frequency of quantum leaps and create a predictable environment where they will blossom disproportionately as if ‘by magic’.

But it’s a process with definite steps. This is not opinion, but PURE SCIENCE. It works each and every time. Predictably and definitively.

So why don’t more people do this?

Because they can’t be bothered and don’t care enough. When you do care enough, this is the ONLY way to achieve excellence and reach the realms of “outstandingness.”

But it comes at a cost – the cost of dedication. The cost of self-determination, knowing what it is you want. With sport it’s clear-cut. People want to WIN. Rankings and points are easy to tally. Even with this level of clarity, most athletes never achieve their ultimate destiny and never perform to the maximum of their physical ability – that is due to a lack of mental toughness – a totally different construct to Deliberate Practice Principles. Of course they are inter-related, but they are not one and the same.

It is not as easy to be a champion in business because the OUTCOMES can be so varied and difficult to measure and quantify. This is especially true when looking for an outcome that includes “flourishing” instead of just “making more money”.

This event will complement several business and personal development frameworks and strategies including:
  • Strategic Sales Methodology – how systems can be automated to create extra-ordinary outcomes through a step-by-step approach to what is (or should be) taking place.
  • Personal Productivity Principles – What we should be doing to make the most of every minute we have to get the best results possible.
  • 20/20 Foresighting – How to make a dream a reality when none of the pieces of the puzzle seem to exist.

This is without a doubt one of the most intellectually interesting topics of research and enquiry. It is fascinating in its underlying complexity, explanatory elegance and deployment simplicity.

It’s actually quite easy and effortless ONCE you rid yourself of the negative psychology that sits at the door preventing you from entering the world of boundless opportunity thinking. The results and rewards that are currently beyond your reach in the sacred world of “outstandingness” are where the Mindset Of A Champion reigns supreme!
