City Houses Squash Racquets Association Competition 2023
We are pleased to announce that the CHSRA will be running the 71st Annual City Houses Competition, proudly sponsored by City Tattersalls. The competition commences in mid-May to September, and includes mixed and Ladies grades. It is a team event, so players are welcome to enter with a group of friends, as a corporate group or as an individual and be assigned to a team. Players of all levels are welcome to join.

Mixed Competition (Main Draw)
Mixed Comp Start Date: 18th May 2023
Details about the Mixed Comp:
1. Cost this year is $145 ($5 is to cover the Sporty HQ admin fee)
2. The commitment is, at most, 1 night per week from 5.30 to 8pm. 4 players from your team will play on that one night per week. However, typically a team will have about 6 players to cover when players are away etc.
3. The draw will be available about 1 week before the comp starts.
4. The entry fee includes entry into the Competition Opening Night in late May at the Tattersalls Club (official invite to come at a later date).
5. There will be 2 socials during the comp – a “rules” night at the beginning and a presentation / cocktail night at the end of the comp around late Oct.
6. The comp caters for players of all levels from State grade players to absolute beginners. So don’t think you are not good enough to play in this comp.
7. Entries close on Friday 21st April.
NB:- If you want to play in a particular team with other players or you have a regular team, please put the other players' names in the "If entering a team please submit the other players names". Note: all players will still have to enter as individuals and make the $145 payment.

Details about Ladies Comp:
1. Cost this year is $145 ($5 is to cover the Sporty HQ admin fee). However, if you are also playing in the mixed main draw, this comp is FREE to enter.
2. Estimated Ladies Comp start date is Thursday 25th May. The 18th May will be complimentary coaching sessions with a Professional Coach from East Coast Squash Academy. There will also be a Professional Coach on the comp night to provide on the spot coaching during the comp matches.
3. Ladies comp is on Thursdays from 5.30 pm to 8pm. 4 players from your team will play on that one night per week. However, typically a team will have about 5-6 players to cover when players are away etc.

This a fantastic opportunity for female players of ALL levels to compete in a social and fun environment. The Academy is grateful that City Tattersalls have provided sponsorship to help grow female participation in squash. We are really pleased with how the Ladies competition has grown over the last 4 years and hope to see last year’s players return, along with some new faces!
