Where are the Squash in the Park sessions held?
The sessions are held in well-known Parks around the Sydney area: Manly - Nolan Reserve, Kentwell Road, Waverton Park, Willoughby Bicentennial Reserve Oval, Hyde Park – Anzac Memorial side and Sydney University[A1] Aquatic Centre
What do we do in the sessions?
The sessions are designed for players to make gains in efficient movement and technique by completing specific deliberate squash movements to gain muscle memory to transfer across to the court. Technique and swing will be addressed and some simple skills using a ball and racket to increase balance and co-ordination. To see the Squash in the Park exercises go to our webpage for some short YouTube clips.
Can I use my current Small Group Class purchases for the Squash In The Park sessions?
Small Group Class purchases can be transferred to Squash In the Park group sessions or topped up to the $400 for the individual Squash in The Park sessions. Note no Groupon players can use their voucher for the Squash in the Park sessions.
What equipment do I need?
Sports attire, running/court shoes, water bottle, towel, and racket if you have one. If you do not have a racket, we will provide this for you. All other training equipment, including squash balls, cones, ladders etc will be provided.
What procedures are taken to ensure players health and well-being?
Hand sanitiser will be available for players and all racquets will be wiped clean at the end of each lesson. Social distancing will be adhered to throughout the session.
What if it rains?
Great question! In light rain the lesson will run continuously, if there is heavy rain, we will re-schedule your session.
Can I pay before or after the session?
All payments must be made to the Academy before the session starts.
Can I do more than one session a week?
Yes of course, for ultimate progression we would recommend at least 2 sessions per week.
How do I know what Mike looks like to meet him in the park?
See the picture of Mike below.
I currently have an injury, so am I unable to join the sessions?
Individual lessons can enable a player to come back from an injury and build strength before returning to the court and reduce the chance of re-injuring themselves.
How many players will there be for each session?
There will be a maximum of 4 players for each session for the Squash in the Park Group classes. The Private Sessions will be 1 on 1.
