The Oceania Junior Championships (OJC) made waves alongside the 2024 Australian Junior Championships, showcasing exceptional talent from budding squash stars. Held at the Melbourne Sports & Aquatic Centre in Victoria from April 12th to 14th, 2024, this event was a testament to dedication, skill, and passion for the game.

The Academy proudly sent forth 14 junior players to compete in the OJC. Their performances were nothing short of remarkable as they stood out amidst some tough competition.
In a true test of endurance and proficiency, our junior team embraced the challenge of playing 10+/- matches within a span of 7 days. This experience not only revealed their capabilities but also highlighted their readiness for intense gameplay in a compressed timeframe.

A special mention goes to Thomas Wang, who secured the runner-up position in the U13 boys' category, showcasing remarkable skill and determination. Additionally, Will, James, Marcus, and Jackson positioned themselves strongly for potential selection in the 2024 Australian Junior Men’s Team for the upcoming World Junior Championships. Your dedication and hard work have not gone unnoticed - well done! Fingers crossed for your selection.

The Academy Junior Team's hard work and dedication paid off at the Australian Junior Open (AJO) 2024, held at Melbourne Sports & Aquatic Centre in Victoria from the 8th to 11th  April, 2024. Amongst a vibrant international gathering of junior squash players representing over 15 nations, The Academy players distinguished themselves with exceptional performances across various age categories.

One of the many standouts achieved was the participation of The Academy’s U17 boys, Marcus Wang & Jackson Wylie, who competed in the U19 category, displaying remarkable skills and determination at ages as young as 15 and 16. Their ambition to excel early in their junior careers and potentially represent Australia in the 2024 World Junior Championships (U19 ONLY) hosted in Houston, USA, reflects their commitment and passion for the sport.

We are incredibly proud of all our players for their outstanding effort and sportsmanship on the court.
