Gregory Gaultier, France's number 1 and current PSA World #3, has won the World Championship this past week in Seattle, WA, USA. If you did not get to see his match, there are clips and highlights on PSA world tour website, and the full match is on squash tv. To read more about his big win, see the article below. Congratulations!

Also, Former world number 5 and current PSA World #11 Peter Barker announced that he will be retiring from the tour after the Hong Kong Open. Barker, from London, UK, has been struggling with a knee injury during his time on tour. He answered questions in an interview in the article below, including a video. He will follow his career by becoming a performance consultant back home in the UK. Best of luck to Barker in his last matches and to a career after the tour.

Darcy Evans: finishing up PSA tournaments for 2015

9/11/2015

Darcy Evans, assistant professional for East Coast Squash Academy, is a current touring professional and personal trainer when he is back in Sydney. He returned to Sydney this weekend after two weeks of travel playing two tournaments, the Mackay Open and the Queensland Open. Darcy made it to the quarter finals of the Mackay Open:

Darcy reflected on his past two tournaments and said, "The last two weeks up in hot Queensland have definitely been an experience. Adjusting to the type of game you have to play in those conditions is mentally challenging..." These are the last two PSA tournaments held in Australia for 2015, and he said that he knew exactly what he wanted to work on upon his return to Sydney for the new year.

Anna Kimberley (ENG & Trinity College, USA) has been training with Head Professional Aaron Frankcomb during her study abroad from Trinity College (Hartford, CT, USA) for the past few months. She is originally from England but studies and plays squash at Trinity in the United States. She has been playing PSA tournaments around Australia as well and traveled with Darcy Evans up north to play the same two tournaments. Anna made it to the semi-finals of the Mackay Open! Congratulations.

Poll: PSA's October Shot of the Month

8/11/2015

There are several contenders for Professional Squash Association (PSA)'s October shot of the month, but we want to know your favorite! Comment with your favorite shot from the video below...or maybe you liked them all, let us know. Exciting to see many more females represented in the video as well, a great example of how the merging of PSA and WSA has helped the women's tour progress and women in squash grow, too.

PSA cracking down on squash rules...

2/11/2015

The Professional Squash Association (PSA) has been enforcing the rules of the PSA Code of Conduct much more recently, cracking down on behaviour on court and during competition events. The Code of Conduct is located in the PSA 2015 Tour Guide. The PSA Disciplinary Panel has taken action against many players, but at the end of October, the list was much longer than previous ones this year and also more disciplinary options were taken, including warnings about future behavior and fines of varying amounts.

Although PSA is only for the professionals, this is a great reminder to all squash players in the world about one's attitude, timeliness, and overall mannerisms. On court and off court behaviour, no matter your skill level in squash, are very important. At the end of the day, people play squash for fun and for the love of the game and sportsmanship is something we hope that all of our players and coaches always continue to strive for.
