East Coast Squash Academy has sadly bid farewell to its first High Performance player and one of its original Assistant Professional team members, Darcy Evans. He has achieved top rankings in the state of NSW, has played premier league, for Willoughby's Sydney 1 Pennant Team, and is ranked #277 on PSA. Darcy has found an excellent opportunity to train in the United States under Rodney Martin, alongside some of the sport's current top players, including fellow Aussie player, Ryan Cuskelly.
In his time with us, Darcy has coached some of our top juniors, given many adults and juniors private lessons, run round robins, and advised both beginner/intermediate and advanced training squads. In addition to be an invaluable member of the coaching team, he has been an excellent role model for our upcoming juniors, especially our Elite Development members and Junior Development members. His smiling face, great energy, and humour will be missed.
We want to wish Darcy the best of luck in the future on the PSA tour and with training. We hope to see you back around Australia for tournaments or training soon!
