The unique partnership and collaboration between The East Coast Squash Academy, spearheaded by professional squash player and former world #38 Aaron Frankcomb, and the Sydney CBD Squash Club brings some of Australia’s Top 100 professional players into Sydney’s CBD to play, inspire, support, and coach and mentor squash players across all levels.
With the signing of a three-year agreement, the East Coast Squash Academy combines with the Sydney CBD Squash Club to launch new activities and make the sport of squash more popular and accessible to broader audiences.
The many additional benefits of this partnership between Sydney CBD Squash Club and the East Coast Squash Academy beyond the interest of driving exposure and visibility within the sport include increasing the number of members, revenues, and providing more competition and fitness options to the local community.
“What a fantastic opportunity for the East Coast Squash Academy to join forces with another action-driven, ambitious, and professional organisation,” says Frankcomb, “to advance the sport of squash and to recruit new players. We’re looking to expand and grow together to increase awareness and develop more passion for squash.”
The Sydney CBD Squash Club’s president and the extended committee team member, Rodney Mangion, says: “We joined forces for the next three years with Aaron Frankcomb and the East Coast Squash Academy. Watching Aaron’s teachings in action and seeing how connected with and supportive he is of our members when coaching. We have no doubt we are in the best of hands.”
“Many people don’t realise that squash is an individual and a team sport, meaning if you have a buddy to play with then you can hit the ball, but if you don’t have a playing partner, you can join a training squad or small group class!” adds Frankcomb.
“We look forward to continue working together improving and expanding squash to connect with a wider community of players to keeping this great game alive for those of all ages who are keen to getting involved with squash especially if it’s for the first time. And we want to get the younger generation involved as early as possible,” adds Mangion.
“Let’s face it, without the great game of squash, Australia’s sporting landscape would never be complete. With this special partnership we will continue to expand our fantastic sport across the Sydney CBD community even more than ever!” declares Frankcomb.
